Year 7 2025 Information

We understand that the move from primary to secondary school is a big step for both students and their families. That’s why at Euroa Secondary College, we’ve designed a comprehensive and caring transition program to make the journey as smooth, supportive, and exciting as possible.

Throughout Year 6, students have multiple opportunities to connect with our college through a series of engaging activities both at their primary school and on-site at Euroa Secondary College. These experiences allow students to meet their future teachers, connect with new peers, and start to feel at home in their new environment.

Two key events, Experience Day and Discovery Night (held in Term 2), offer students and families the chance to explore the curriculum and get a feel for the school community together.

In Term 3, we take the time to sit down with every incoming student and their family in a one-on-one meeting. This ensures we understand each child’s needs, strengths, and goals—so we’re ready to support them from day one of Year 7.

To build confidence and familiarity, our extended Orientation Program runs across four days, spanning the end of Year 6 and the start of Year 7. Once students begin, they’re further supported through our buddy system, Year 7 camp, and a strong pastoral care program underpinned by The Resilience Project, helping them feel connected, valued, and ready to thrive.
