The study of Science is compulsory for all students from Year 7 to 10. Students develop their knowledge of scientific investigation and communication by undertaking experiments, completing skills activities and processing and presenting information.

All students have the opportunity to participate in the Australian Schools Science Competition and enter these other competitions:  National Science Youth Forum, Chemistry Quiz, Create-a-critter, Science International Poem Challenge, Aurecom Bridge Building, Year 8 Science Photography and Crystal Making Competition. When available, students enjoy a visit from the RMIT Travelling Science show.

Year 11 and 12

In VCE students have the opportunity to choose form a number of courses. In Year 11 and 12 the college offers Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Psychology (Environmental Science is not currently offered).

In Year 11 students have the opportunity to participate in the Siemens Summer School and the CSIRO Research Scheme where students undertake research projects in collaboration with CSIRO scientists. Students also compete in the Chemistry, Physics and Biology Olympiads and the Chemistry Quiz.

The Titration competition is also available to Year 11 and 12 Chemistry students.

Further information is available from the Year 12 11 and 12 VCE coordinators.
